Thank you so much for this link, and I just found something out.
So there was one by me that had one in stock, but then I got an OOS email shortly after. HOWEVER, they gave me the option to ship for free for that mess-up and waived the $35 minimum. Life is great
I bought three with redcard + other things we needed & got free shipping. Activated with various old phones where SMS & data worked, but not voice calls. Until I placed in old iPhone 6s, where voice worked too.
I picked a sim up at a local store. I activated it with no cost and no taxes (some locations charge taxes and fees). It does include 100 min, 100 text, and 100MB data. Data and text works with Moto G4 and Moto G4plus but no calling in or out, according to chat with FP trying several different APN settings and calls still not working they said you need a phone with VoLTE capability and Android 12.
I can confirm the Moto G6 works with talk, text, data, and it is VoLTE enabled and Android 8.0, so you don't need Android 12. I think the secret to getting calls is the phone has to be VoLTE capable.
Yes, being out-of-stock for over 6 months would be a good indication. Plus, I have seen posts by multiple customers who relayed their interaction with tech support. When asked about the GSMT sim, the Freedompop CSR said it was discontinued.
It's lame that someone's trying to cash in on that deal. The one @sblake5 listed looks like the Target ones that I got. I have two more unopened - maybe I sell them for $50 or $49.99, because they are free forever!
I noticed my Walmart FP lines has an option to let me move the service to an e-sim. Would be interesting to put this on a smart watch. Leave it in Airplane mode most of the time for better battery life and activate it for calling/data if you forget your phone.
