Phone purchases in the next app update

Cellnuvo support tell me that a phone purchase option will be available in the next app update.

It will be a payment option like the rest with the same 100 gold a month limit.

You should be able to buy a phone from retailers like amazon, bestbuy etc.

You would make the first payment and then email support with a link of the phone to buy. You then need to make payments until paid off before you are sent the phone.

Some details are unknown such as taxes/shipping, what happens if prices change before you pay it off, can you use multiple accounts to pay off the same phone etc. I will update if I get answers.

that's pretty cool. i could really use a new phone

Will. Not. End. Well.

And makes no sense either. Obviously they aren't gonna pay the merchant the pre-PiF (paid-in-full) amounts.

But I think I should try to put a positive spin on this...
CellNUVO has stepped it up in terms of Thinking Outside the Box: "Let the old-schoolers run their Ponzi Schemes, we invent this new one we like to call the PiFonzi Scheme. Ayyy..."

Very cool and Cellnuvo trying to keep their promise.

Proof this is not a scam or a ponzi Scheme (imho) and everyone paying off their phone bill can attest to this

This definition does NOT apply to a free app or a free service. Users did not pay out any money.

I am tired of bashers calling this a Ponzi scheme with no proof. Cellnuvo should sue for liable.

"
A Ponzi scheme (/ˈpɒnzi/; also a Ponzi game)[1] is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator generates returns for older investors through revenue paid by new investors, rather than from legitimate business activities or profit of financial trading. Operators of Ponzi schemes can be either individuals or corporations, and grab the attention of new investors by offering short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent.

Companies that engage in Ponzi schemes focus all of their energy into attracting new clients to make investments. Ponzi schemes rely on a constant flow of new investments to continue to provide returns to older investors. When this flow runs out, the scheme falls apart.[2]

The scheme is named after Charles Ponzi,[3] who became notorious for using the technique in the 1920s.[4] The idea, present in novels (for example, Charles Dickens' 1844 novel Martin Chuzzlewit and 1857 novel Little Dorrit each described such a scheme),[5] was performed in real life by Ponzi, and became well known throughout the United States because of the huge amount of money he took in. Ponzi's original scheme was based on the arbitrage of international reply coupons for postage stamps; however, he soon diverted investors' money to make payments to earlier investors and himself.[6]"

This ponzi scheme nonsense was debunked long ago. Most of us are enjoying successful payments one after another. I suggest you enjoy it too or just move on with your life.

You do raise a point about when phones will be purchased. Will they buy right away or wait until full payment is made?

I'd rather they just let us spend up to half the gold we have on a phone once per year. Let us buy it outright. But if this is what they have I'll take it. I'm looking forward to it.

Having to wait 10 months to receive a iphoneX. Is way too long. If someone earned that much gold. They should be allowed to cash in faster. They earned the right

Ha, iphoneX out there for 5 months. Your time is doubled?

Bummed none a y'all can figure things out.

Amused how that causes you to try to shout down the sharper ones.

The notion of a Ponzi Scheme is, as long as it keeps growing, finding new marks, it can almost sustain itself. I'm glad that's been rebutted. CellNUVO is having way too much trouble finding new marks.

Their remedy is to devalue their ad-share. A year ago whatever their ad revenue was, we probably got 1 Gold for every $2 ad revenue (payments from the app's ad network to CellNUVO's checking account). Now we have 0.1c videos. CellNUVO is still receiving the ad network payments at the same high rate, they're just keeping way more of it. Trouble is...

Potential customers have figured this out.

Please stick to the topic - phone purchases in the app update.

If you want to talk about ponzi schemes then start a new thread.

We're in agreement that CellNUVO is no longer a Ponzi Scheme, so I ain't starting a new thread. The title would be too silly.

"CellNUVO no longer a Ponzi Scheme"

Brainstorming more silly threads...

"CellNUVO probably won't start opening car washes"
"CellNUVO will sponsor the Cubs only if they become good again"
"CellNUVO wants your vote for public office"
Oh, wait...

New version 2.86 in Google store.
Hmmm, but I can't see "buy phone option" .

It is there in the app "Phone Installment"

Fields are:
Account number
Pay amount
(Optional) code

Glad to see them delivering as promised.

No, I can't see, at least on my phone, LG HD Tribute.

Weird it is on mine. Maybe you need a new phone lol.

You have 2.86 version? Weird, I checked second phone - the same, no "phone installment" option.

The word you're looking for is Libel. And it's been decades since I've seen anyone seriously think random internet people can be sued for libel. For one, CellNUVO would CERTAINLY turn away existing and potential customers if it attempted legal action against its users for communicating their thoughts and feelings about their service. For two, there has to be PROOF that accusations can be or are damaging AND are false; if a popular celebrity writes that CellNUVO is holding their family hostage, THAT'S libel because the celebrity has a trusted influence on a mass of followers and the claim is provably false.

There's also problems of jurisdiction (which court would have authority over the case). The court where the plaintiff (CellNUVO) is based? The court where the defendant is based? The court where the site's server is based? Also Considering that plenty of famous people tweet whatever clearly inaccurate defamatory BS they cook up without consequences - which sets a precedent that it's allowable - I can't imagine any legitimate judge taking a claim of internet libel seriously.

Just because you don't like what people are saying doesn't mean it is - or even should be - illegal. One of the things which makes the U.S. great is freedom of speech. It is perhaps one of the greatest foundational pillars of our country. It you don't like it then move to a nation like China where the police will lock you up indefinitely without charges because something you wrote online rubbed the wrong person the wrong way.

Sorry for the derail; I just popped into this thread to say "Yay! Looks like I'll finally be upgrading my 5 year old phone soon!" Well, soon-ish... I've been eyeballing an LG V20 since 2016 and the new/used prices are still over $400/$200 respectively. I really wish CellNUVO would work with Swappa or ebay as I prefer to buy used devices (it's an environmentalism thing).

I'd like a used samsung s7. Approximately $175. Hope c nuvo can swing it

i wonder if we could use those gold to purchase HSN tracfone that comes with min/txt/data

I had the same thought. Would be a nice new option for a cheap paygo plan. It is a phone so I don't see why not.

I also saw that there are a few phones bundled with annual plans for redpocket on ebay. Saves you a few bucks over the monthly payments, free phone and saves the hassle of making 12 payments. Not sure if those would be acceptable purchase options. Less likely than the HSN ones anyway.
