This really is a great deal, especially if the price is grandfathered in for renewals. $50/year ($4.17/mo) for 5GB/mo 5G, then unlimited 1.5Mbps, is an amazing deal. And if the upcoming add-on features come to fruition, it might be even better.

$9.37 per month for 15GBs of data + unlimited talk /text---after clipping 25% off coupon for 12 month plan.

(Only taxes/fees collected are state sales taxes)

clean link for the above (- the SD referral tag)

I un-escape everything from SD.

For anyone who currently has Spectrum internet and is interested in getting a "flagship" level phone.

Spectrum is currently running the same promo on the Samsung S25 series that they did on the S24 last year.
$700 + "value" of your trade-in phone.

Trade in any junky phone (as long as it is on their list) and get a S25 for about $90. Especially slick if you have one year free line offer attached to your account, +$60 (or $40 if you're extremely lucky) if no free line offer for service to get to 60 day unlock.

You can probably find my post from last year and there are current threads on SD but if anybody has questions I'll try to reply. I did so many "upgrades" last year I got banned in store eventually and had to do by mail only for my last tradein. Will see what happens this year.

The value play is to trade in a cheap phone (like a moto G play $10 + $700 trade in credit) that is on the tradein list for a S25 then trade the S25 for a + or ultra if you so desire or want to get cash back.
Unlike last year there is no incentive to do preorder trade in by mail (which became a headache for some) because there is no double memory upgrade offer like last year.
Only reason to mail order / trade is that most stores will probably only have base memory models so mail is the only way to get largest memory models. I'll probably wait until I'm store banned again

Currently the S25 isn't on the allowed trade-in list but this was the case last year with the S24. It got added towards the end of the promo period, a few weeks after the phone was released.

ETA - post from a year ago Hot Deals - Mobile - #48 by Redrotors

Peaked my interest as a possible additional device to give me hotspot data for an upcoming trip but I just looked at my TMO acct and I can upgrade to 10GB hotspot for $10 and 40GB hotspot for $15.

Walmart Family Mobile Samsung Galaxy A15 5G (64GB) Free with in store activation on $29.88 plan, ends 5/18.

  • 6.5" FHD+ AMOLED Screen

  • 5,000mAh battery (25W wired Fast Charge)

  • 4 GB RAM

  • Android 14 operating system (Android OS updates through Android 18)

Note: Family Mobile is a Tracfone Brand, so the above phone will unlock automatically in 60 days even if you only puchase just the first month of service.

Moto G Play 2024 available for the same deal.

Not sure how it compares spec wise, certainly will not receive updates as long as the ones promised for the A15.
If you intend to buy as a keeper main phone it is an important selling point.
HOWEVER
I really do wonder how the A15 will be performing when it receives those final promised updates, in my experience it's quite the slug right out of the box unless you delete and pause/block a lot of the sammy bloat.

I'll be watching how this unfolds as a very interested but non-participating observer. (but I did create an account with them so as to get all updates)

I got on the Helium free plan wait list yesterday. You can never have too many free lines...at least I can't, lol.

The free plan and two new paid plans are available this morning but, for now, invite only. Apparently, referral codes allow for skipping the wait list. If anyone is interested, they might try the referral codes (mine or otherwise) posted here:

I received my invite to the Helium Free plan

Helium Free Plan:

REQUIRES name, address, driver license upload, selfie verification via a third party site.

(BTW, I received an invitation)

I'll pass.
