FYI, freemii.com DNS hosting provider is Amazon.com (Amazon Route 53).
Subdomain "join" has CNAME DNS record pointing to target.clickfunnels.com.
If DNS record is unauthorized, this means malicious actor has control of freemii.com DNS, but chooses to only hijack "join" subdomain and not root domain or "www" subdomain. This seems highly unlikely.
I don't have FreeMii, so I don't spend much time looking at the site: but the feature list includes this, which may be new wording:
Order Unlimited Data Plus Service Lines (Data Plus Sim-Kit)
I'm wondering if that means a second/multiple data-only SIM on a primary line? Or the 'SIM' page has a notation that Family Plans are coming soon.
Hoping that you all who signed up early get grandfathered rates!
Re: cost: Even at what it looks like for new customers, it doesn't seem horrible to me other than the risk factor. (Which I still think is significant.) $33/mo for the first year, and $21/mo for successive years.
I see Freemii is advertising the free amazon fire tablet with the $149 new member signup, on Facebook. I always thought the fire tablet only worked on wifi. HHHMM
The "Data Plus" is the name of the standard (only) plan the FreeMii offers (although there was a rumor of a limited 5G plan for a while). So, like has been mentioned, this might be their idea of a family plan. I was in at $149 with no renewal fee in Sept., so I'm already at least even. Will be watching closely.
The https://join.freemii.com/offer1 page has been redesigned since yesterday. Now says (paraphrasing a bit) that membership is $149 annually, and the data plus plan can be purchased separately. The offer page doesn't say what you get for $149 annually, but you can get a free Blu Android phone or Amazon Fire 7 tablet for free if you want.
Today's ad that I saw on Facebook that directed me to this page says you get 10gb of data with unlimited t&t.
To say that FreeMii has a hot mess on it's website is not an understatement.
I did hear from CS this morning, and the join.freemii.com/offer1 is legit. They also confirmed that early joiners are still exempt from annual renewal fees. They were not too forthcoming as to what "membership" gets you, but it appears that you have to buy "service options" separately.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
From the FAQ on the "join" site:
Yes. Unlimited Data, Talk + Text is 100% free every month for all FreeMii members. We do not charge any fee for data, voice calls, or messaging after your membership and service purchase. FreeMii Charges for Membership Purchase & Renewal ($149/yr) and for Data Plus Purchase ($249) & Renewal ($99/yr). You must remain in good standing according to our Service Agreement.
@Placeway join.freemii.com now also has wildcard redirect (including base URL) to "offer1" page instead of clickfunnels.com. FYI, next page in checkout process: https://join.freemii.com/offer1-2021
This is getting weird.
Does sound like now you have to be a member AND obtain a data plus subscription. $149 for membership and $249 for the first year data plus. Then renew at $149 for membership and $99 for dataplus.
I wonder what that means for those who joined before all this. What annual fees are we exempt from? Everything or just membership or just data plus?
You can also just purchase data plus (with no membership??) with this link
https://join.freemii.com/order/order1-2021
what a mess.
I think you still need the membership to order the Data Plus. Somewhere it states that you have to maintain membership in good standing.
The email I got from CS said old joiners were exempt from Membership renewal fees...didn't mention data plus renewal. I just sent an email requesting clarification about that.
If they try to start charging us early adopters at all, then due to my low usage they'd really have to beat about $30/year ongoing to be worth keeping, instead of saying goodbye to the sunk cost as a bad bet.
And they'd have to convince me they'll be around long enough long enough for the initial joining fee to pay off in increments of how MUCH they beat $30/year by. Which after going back on what they originally pitched to me...would probably limit them to $10/year at most.
So...well, I guess we'll see!
I emailed CS, and asked specifically about membership and data plan renewal for early subscribers. Was told that there will be no renewal fees for joiners prior to 10.01.20. Here's the exchange:
Thanks for getting back to me. Let me be clear, someone who joined prior to Oct. 2020 is exempt from membership and data renewal?
Just want to be clear.
Thanks again.

Hi Dennis,
Yes, that is absolutely correct. The renewal fee is waived for members who joined us before October 2020.
Let's hope it remains so for years. FreeMii does have the option to change the TOS at any time.![]()
Another data point:
Hi Mark,
Thank you for sharing with us your concern. You joined us in October 2020, when the $99/yr annual Data Plus plan renewal and the $149 membership renewal was not in place. We'll never charge your account with these amounts.
Best Regards,
Blue update: today my device measured my data useage at 23.88gb with 2 days left in my cycle. Speed dropped from the 5-20 range down to 0.05 down and undetectable up. Contacted support, will see if they can do anything. Maybe tomorrow.
Apparently since getting on Freemii and starting to use data when I feel like it, rather than leaving most things until I'm on wifi, my usage has skyrocketed. My phone says I used over 3GB last month, which is around what I'd have considered a year's supply before. So it's definitely been different.
For this month so far I'm up to 14.2 MB.
I think this makes it official: 21.5gb is the max limit of Blue before automatic "deprioritization" (someone needs to explain to FreeMii the difference between throttling and deprioritization). At least talk and text were unaffected.
Nther's My Name is David. I am one of the founder's at FreeMii. I just found this thread. Excited to read through comments. I love the feedback. All feedback. And I need all of your help.
We have been very quiet by design. We're testing ads, price points, messaging, etc.
I'd love as much feedback as possible. Our top quesitons and concerns are as follows:
How can FreeMii better communicate its value proposition?
How can FreeMii best engage with users online?
What target markets are best for FreeMii's services?
What pricepoints are attractive to customers for FreeMii's services?
Currently we are structured as a wholesale offering. We have a memership offer (currently $149 - includes discounts on electronics and smart devices, fast shipping, all activations, money back gurantee - we're hoping to add membership catalogue of electronic devices, freemii swag, smartphones) We also have our data services (Currently Data Plus - $249 - unlimited data talk - w/$99 annual renewal)
Let me know what you think about the current structure and how we can improve.
BTW. I was active on the reddit thread "WTF FreeMii" but it seems reddit archives threads and no on can add to it any logner. Looks like you all have a pretty good one going here.
I hope you all know we are trying to build something very special at FreeMii and seeing all this engagement around our idea is really inspiring.
I'll check back here frequently. You can also email me at david@freemii.com.
Here's to the revolution.

"believe different"
Hello and welcome David
My biggest issue with my current freemii plan is I'm only getting 10gb when I am supposed to get unlimited data (pink sim). So yes please fix that. I almost asked for my money back but i think i passed the 100 days now.
