Freemii big changes

I don't have any first hand experience with them, hopefully those that do will chime in.

I seem to recall that when I last looked into them US Mobile had a pretty large amount added taxes & fees. Maybe a line charge? In any case the article seems to say that the rates they now quote include all taxes and fees. The $15 plan you were looking at probably was at or very close to $18 already.

No more replies from Freemii. So it is time to leave, right?

I'm already gone. 2 weeks ago.

I got same message about 20-28th as well. No responses to emails/chat. Rip, but guess we all knew this was coming

Yeah, same here, I did get an automated response to my last attempt, but no human reply. I think I've got 3 months of Verizon Prepaid credit. I guess they tried, but fail to achieve a "soft landing". Oh well.

From a coverage and service perspective, I'd say they are top notch as a Verizon alternative. Not as cheap as Visible, but better customer service, and I think they even have access to some of Verizon's roaming partners that other MVNO's don't. They claim to have prioritization comparable to Verizon post paid. My experience seemed to confirm.

They also offer T-mobile. In my area, I am beginning to really like the 2023 version of T-mo. (I couldn't say that 5 years ago.) That said, I don't think US Mobile offers anything special on the T-mo side.

Thanks for the reply. T-Mo is a non-starter in my area still, although they are getting better.. Still have a couple of month built up on V - PrePaid, but pretty sure that's where I'll end up.

So sad. Finally permanently closed. Enjoy the $150+$50 for three years.

It was a good ride, disappointed they just faded away, though.

More changes (all pretty positive I think) at US Mobile. I'm gonna post in a more general thread but wanted you to see dnoonan.

Hey, thanks so much for this I've got 2 more months to go on Verizon Pre-Paid, then I'm making the jump. I was planning on doing the $18 6GB plan, but with these changes, I might pony up the extra $7 for the Unlimited Basic. Thanks again!!

Well that's the nice thing about being monthly I guess, if you can reliability predict when you'll need more data (traveling/vacation etc.) you can bump up to unlimited starter or maybe premium if headed overseas.

I manage a line for a family elder and I think Twigby may be losing a customer to the US Mobile $5 plan unless they can extend some kind of discount to their account.
