Manual renewal (on 300/1000/100 plan) via chat today went as usual...
EXCEPT
100mb data didn't get provisioned, stayed at 0 and indeed no data was available on the phone.
Got on chat a second time and they said they would have it checked and resolved and send an email to update.
When checked a few hours later the 100mb was showing on the account and indeed the phone had data available.
I see they sent an email (ended up in spam) about 2 hrs after the chat.
So, a minor but annoying hiccup and a heads up to keep a sharp eye out on all 3 balances when you renew.

I can't add any new DP re the error message wording when attempting to renew in app because I didn't try.

Another month, another failed online renewal. I guess FP likes to keep their Live Agent staffing number up.

I wonder how many of these free plan manual renewals are being processed by FP every month.

FreedomPop on Android Updated to 2.0.0

I noticed this morning that my FreedomPop on Android had an update to version 2.0.0. I'm not up for manual renewal yet but if you can renew manually with the new app update, please let us know.

Same on iOS reported a day or two ago on HoFo.
Also quite curious to see reports before next renewal I'll need to do in just under 2 weeks.

The fact that on first launch of the new version I immediately got an ad for TextNow strikes me as 100% hilarious.

I suspect I won't be able to renew at all, or if I can, that it will only be possible through customer service and probably with new numbers...because I just realized I am pretty sure I haven't bothered since December. The "Renew Free Plan" button isn't even doing anything and the app doesn't seem to show anything but ads and my phone numbers.

Definitely waiting until I'm at home to try anything else.

I'll let everyone know Friday, May 2 when I attempt to renew.

Yep. That is what happened to me as well when I tried renewing the plan today. Had to do the online chat thing as usual to restart service.

The endless quest for free wireless mobile continues and FreedomPop continues to be a "minimal" option --well, depending upon rather or not one places a value on their time and energies.

Meaning that I can take it or leave it. When I get tired of the FP game, I'll let it go and not miss it.

My fp phone mostly just sits idly between renewals.

The only potential use I have for it would be if I need some AT&T right away & prefer not to wait for my 100% free gov phone to power up.

So...as has been said - no big deal to drop it if/when it becomes a total PITA.

Worst case scenario:
If both my fp & gov phones go away somehow, I can very easily get cheap AT&T via US Mobile for my super-minimal cellular uses.

I got the same thing (including identical grammatical typo) from a different agent (can't recall the name but wasn't "Marvic")
At least this month was hiccup free unlike last month where data wasn't refreshed.

And so it continues...

Well, first time I've had a problem. Went to renew with "Luis" yesterday....went as usual, give me three minutes..., but no update. Checked back later on, still no update, spoke with Luis again, please check back later. Looked again this morning, still no update. Once again, got Luis. Went through the whole thing again, but no luck. Still waiting, but not too optimistic.

Do you have GSMT or GSMA?
