Maybe it's a regional thing. I'll try a VPN to put me somewhere else.
If you find yourself in the position of needing to purchase credits, you might consider using the TapJoy promo for Hulu. Sign up and get 2850 credits.
One month of Hulu costs $7.99, so you'd save money over the CellNUVO price of 2500 credits for $10 AND you'd get a month of Hulu to catch up on all your favorite shows.
Gladiator you make me jealous.
We already have Hulu, so I don't know.
I'm still waiting on my 1000 credits for the business cards, but it's been less than 24 hours.
MaltoMeal and the other ads have finally come back, again, so I'm picking up some points while I watch my Saturday morning financial shows.
"To see the ads just hit back or X and swipe again. Keep swiping and eventually you get some."
Still no luck. Something I noticed is that I have a folder called .hide, which seems to be getting new content in it. Some of it is .. ads! So, the ads may be coming to my phone but not being displayed for some reason. I may try nuking the app and reloading as I probably have some kind of blocker (or something) intercepting the ads.
I do know that I appear to be no longer qualified for any of the surveys. I did a really long '30 minute' one. After that, I tried another one, but when I flipped my phone sideways to see everything better, I must have hit the 'back' button or something because the browser wigged out. Since then, I've tried about 40 different surveys at a few different times over a few different days. On some, I go through pre-qual questions and then it says I don't qualify. But, on most, it says I don't qualify before I even get to any questions.
Luckily, I get about 25 thank you points per hour (5 swipes at 5 points apiece of 'thank you for using'). I manage to get about 100 or so a day doing that. (Still testing how many times a day I am allowed to do this. I do my 5 swipes, then get the list of offers after that until an hour goes by, then get my 5 swipes again and then offers.)
Here's a picture of the screen:
The only ones I see here in Florida are
Malt-o-meal
Coast guard (two different ones. one with a man and one with a woman)
Bio True eye drops
Silk Almond milk
Anti smoking Ad
Thanks for posting the video--it is very neat.
I am amazed at how many credits you have earned.
Are you not worried about carpal tunnel syndrome?![]()
I'm in Georgia but have been getting the "Florida Ads" listed above-- minus the anti-smoking one.
No MetroPCS, even though there's a store up the street from me.
I've accumulated about 800 points, today, playing with it off and on while watching TV and cooking.
I can tell that I'll quickly tire of having to swipe a half dozen times for each ad. The novelty is about to wear off.
Things I need to see before I can recommend CellNUVO to other people:
- Earn credits while on other devices. (The Tribute HD screen strains my middle-aged eyes pretty quickly.)
- Credits per megabyte need to come down substantially. $40/GB is going to eventually push away all data users. Talk and text are reasonable-ish. Should be no more than 3 credits per MB.
- Eliminate wasted time of multiple swipes for a single ad. The process is time consuming enough without unnecessarily making it worse.
- Referral credits need to be fixed. The girl from church whose referral code I used still shows 0 referral credits even though I've accumulated 1720 credits on top of the original 2500.
Optional:
- Would love to be able to donate credits to other accounts.
- Would love to see advertising bandwidth get zero-rated.
I think the whole concept has great bones, it just needs some tweaking to find the best balance between profitability and customer retention.
Thanks for the referral info! Didn't realize that.
One less thing to be concerned about!
Malt-o-meal-
Why am I hungry for some cereal all of a sudden?
Maybe I am silly thinking this, but...:
If we have some way of adding referrals to our existing Cellnuvo accounts from other existing members - like each/all who post here for example, then that would be the ultimate method of sharing and a great way to keep our services going easily.
Of course I don't know that referrals can be added with already existing accounts at both ends - it would be kind of like the FP sharing - but maybe when Tom visits here he'll see this idea and respond to it ??
Updated app on Google Play store.
No obvious differences, that I can see, but some kiip credits available when you first open it up.

Great ideas. Regarding referral credits. Tom has said they are credited monthly. We should prob see them after our individual billing cycles.
I like the idea of earn from different device. It seems the app is used for many purposes like activating phone, grabing esn and sim info, etc. I wonder too if they need to keep the info together. You know the bio data and all the fun info they are prob getting from us as we travel and watch ads.
Watch tv series Hunted LOL!!

I noticed this, too. Got the update. Also allows you to sign up for beta testing. I did for fun. We'll see if I get a version that messes up credits. One can always opt out. ![]()
This is how mine works.
You have passed me :). I'm up to 18,234 credits!! LOL! I better get crack'n!! ![]()
I didn't see a beta testing option, either.
It looks like we need to start a league to see who can accumulate the most credits each week.
I did 2000 today and I hate myself for it.
So, is it the case that you must do this and you hate yourself for having to do it.?
Or is it the case that you will hate yourself if you do not do it and fail to get all those extra credits?
Regardless of what the answer might be, the correct thing to do is stop and switch to Verizon and play Sudoku, plan a party for mardi gras, handicap the mushers in next week's Iditarod, work on your brackets for March Madness, prepare a party in honor of St. Patrick, Ireland's fictional saint, or work on your taxes. Anything but CellNUVO.
You will thank yourself for making that switch.
I've got phones and hotspots on all four networks, so no reason change anything.
It's just taken more of my attention than it probably should have.
