CellNuvo Check Delays

What I'm hearing from this is that they have received some vendor payment, just not from the largest vendor.

Here we go again with them talking about what they're gonna do. "more than likelly?" Just stop with that. All it does is create angst and speculation, especially when the details are not given. PITA. I tell you.

Nobody.

"Soon .."

While the idea of 50% does not sound appealing, when faced with the status quo (unlikely payout), I am game for that. As the saying goes, sometimes you have to lose some to win some.

And this is why many companies "go silent" when having difficulty.......

Seriously, most of us have been saying CellNuvo should stay in touch, provide updates on the situation, be more responsive, etc. Sounds like this email is an attempt to do just that. (Even if it's short on concrete information, which might be understandable if they're developing plans & strategies.)

I'm not happy about recent developments (or lack thereof), either. But we should avoid putting CN in a "damned if they do, and damned if they don't" scenario regarding communications.

Has anyone else received a similar response from CN? I've gotten no reply.

I am of the opinion that it is time to ring fence these points that the ad provider is not paying for. What concerns me is that everything seems to be riding on this payment from the ad vendor that is long overdue. Those who continue to swipe shouldn't be punished further for this issue and should still be able to get payment for their new earnings.

If they have no info then silence is better than a random email to a select few that raises more questions than answers.

I'd rather they be more proactive and control what they can do right now. They can work on a recovery for the app. They need more revenue streams that is clear. If you want to give us hope cellnuvo then start there. If you want us to swipe then open up payments for new swiping.

And work on a terms and conditions page so that "abuse" can be defined. And you can clearly spell out what will happen in case ad providers don't pay. Others have clauses that say payment for particular ads will not be paid to users if they do not receive payment themselves. That is acceptable if specified in the terms and the fault does not lie with cellnuvo. It also means there is a need to separate out older points that you have already been paid for and to ensure that you will still pay users for those.

This^ Cellnuvo isn't known to dispatch mass emails to its customers, but this one serves as much purpose as the one saying, "we're working on it."

It's actually worse because it raises expectations. Probably another bold faced lie.

That seems to be in line with their communication on swaps. I honestly have not been paying attention to either app.

There can not be instant swaps if they have no money to pay them.

Looks like they updating the app on the fluke that the company that is 9 months behind will finally pay them.

Looks like a waste of time. Unless they want us to believe it will happen.

Someone here will say because they want us to swap. I don't see many ads at all. So that can't be it.

That is why I think they need to ring-fence these points the ad provider isn't paying for. Otherwise everything effectively grinds to a halt. Put them aside and they can pay those if the money comes in.

It would be in everyone's interest to open up payments for new swiping and any old points that cellnuvo have already been paid for. And work on getting in new ad streams. Otherwise cellnuvo is just dead. Get all aspects of the app operational again and sort out the ad vendor non-payment problem separately.

Okay, I'm going to be ultra-sarcastic here, but suppose you got a communication from CellNuvo like the one I have composed below, how would you feel? Note: this is composed by me, not CellNuvo, but it accurately captures the current state of affairs (and my frustration) --

Greetings! We have temporarily delayed payment on the 100,000 points that you swiped last year. You had requested an e-check for those points 2 months ago but since our biggest ad supplier hasn’t paid us yet, we cannot pay you. Rest assured though, that your 100,000 points are safe with us. We are implementing a new update so that you can swipe more and earn more. Please continue to swipe, the moment you accumulate 100,000 additional points, you can request an instant payment for your new points as well as your old points. The new update is designed to show more ads, and you will earn more points faster, so continue swiping for great wealth. Please also download our new app to double and triple your swiping points. Thank you for your continued gullibility.

The thing is you'll feel the same way or worse if they continue as is. Damage is already done.

Other people who continue to swipe shouldn't be punished for this ad vendor issue. Nor is it good to be dreaming that this issue will resolve itself or go away.

Unfortunately, though it really sucks it is common in the industry not to be paid if the ad vendor doesn't pay.

If you feel like you don't want to continue that is perfectly understandable. They will lose a lot of customers over this issue. You may not even believe what they say about the ad vendor.

The only real choices are to ring-fence points, write off the points or to close down. Stuck in limbo won't do anyone any good and will just lead to no one getting anything.
