New MobileX Customers

New player? Comments say this is a Verizon MVNO. That green reminds me of Straight Talk.

MobileX has been around for a little bit (late December 2022). pSIMs are generally available at Walmart brick and mortar stores albeit for $9.88. eSIM available via their mobile app (Android and iOS).

Peter Adderton, founder of Boost Mobile is running MobileX. MobileX is indeed a Verizon network MVNO but routes traffic through its own cloud core similar to the original Visible.

My apologies if this violates any terms here, please remove if so.

I am wondering if anyone who is a current MobileX customer has a spare unactivated/new pSIM kit they would be willing to send or request from MobileX? I can reimburse you for shipping etc. via PayPal or ACH/check/MO if you care to trust me.

I have spoken & chatted with MobileX CS unsuccessfully. It seems they will not ship for free or discount the $10 charge for a NEW customer (code MXSIM50 returns as no longer valid). It seems they do this only for current customers with an active # via app or maybe website chat.

I am considering porting in a line for someone whose line I manage but $10 currently covers their (very limited) use on P+ for at least 4/5 months. They would like the freedom to talk/text more so I thought MobileX might be a decent fit but the up front $10 cost is a stumbling block in their mind. I feel it is inflated and max. $5 seems plenty but I guess MobileX has their reasons.

Their phone does not have eSIM, I suppose that I could 'take over' the line onto an eSIM capable phone and then request a pSIM kit for free but this would inconvenience both them and me, they would probably not have consistent access to their phone for the better part of 2 weeks.
