No gold missing for me. Seems like a strange issue. Hopefully CN sorts this mess out quick. Unfortunately for them many users will likely just jump ship once this all settles out. I'm still debating what to do myself at that point when port outs are more readily available.
We're on 2.59 since there has been zero communication from CN to upgrade, and zero communication regarding rates/how to re-establish service if the temp buckets get used up.
If their goal is to royally piss everyone off, mission accomplished!
I'm still on app version 2.59, and have some missing gold. It doesn't seem to be tied to an app version.
I am 100% confident that this is the result of the app refreshing from an older saved point. It's not from a phantom charge, or from gold being devalued, etc. Whether or not it's easy to recover depends on whether the later saved point still exists.
Please see my earlier post for why my confidence is high: by sheer coincidence, I know what my Your Silver counter was reading, on 2 different phones, at a common point in time somewhat over a week ago. On both of the phones, the refreshed Your Silver amounts (showing a loss) match those figures. One phone with figures matching those old readings would be a low-probability event by any other explanation I can think of. 2 phones matching is a vanishingly-small probability.
(On one phone, I saw the loss take place as the account refreshed-- it was also not a logical-increment loss that might, for example, be associated with a "refill" charge, and the phone in question has only made a couple of test calls between the old Your Silver reading, and today.)
Agree with @KentE, this seems to be an issue of reverting back to a point in time. I didn't not track as some, but I loosely "recognize" the current 164 Gold and change noted in the app is what I had a little over a week ago.
I lost 10 gold 761 silver. I saw this thread before I started swiping today so I was able to take screenshots. I emailed them to support and they said they would check with the developers. Waiting for their response, I'll update when I hear back.
I just watched 20 ads . They gave no credit. Cleared cache. ad id. Closed app. Restarted. nothing. On top of losing 7000 silver. Maybe they are deleting points for watching ads now. apropos
