Yep, good thing we have cellular internet now.
Yet you may have to pay for whatever is already in the building while you pay for your cellular internet.
I am familiar with someone in this situation. To boot it is in an area with lousy cellular service on all the MNOs, a real cellular signal "hole".
Lucky for them the speeds are fine for their modest demands and the building negotiated price (broken out by apt. unit) is on par with "internet assist" rates given to those on govt. subsidies, about 30% of the "rack rate" for that level of service (50mb).
If you want faster speeds though, hold onto your wallet. Fiber is actively being installed in the village center now and the building management has stated their intention to make it available there when build out spreads out to the building, we'll see if that happens and what effect it may have on the current provider's deal/rates.
That's right. My sons and daughter have been in a variety of apartments, and fortunately, none of them have had forced "bundled" internet, so they've been able to get their own, including 5G where available. Also, my youngest son is currently using his Visible unlimited hotspot for streaming, since he barely watches TV, and it's working fine so far.
