Yes I have a sprint lg dynasty and a tracfone lg rebel 4 which I use for swiping. I believe they are all the same phone. Not sure I'd pay $50 for them though unless you are using it for freeup or something as well.
cricket are giving away the lg stylo 3 with port in and first month service. So about $30 for a decent swiping phone. Not sure how easy they are to unlock on ebay though if you want to use it as a phone.
Hungry-Hog wrote sometime ago: "It looks that umidigi a3 Max and umidigi s3 pro are both a hoax!" Well, the S3 pro is here and can be had on "Indiegogo" now at reduced price.
There are quite a few model released by umidigi on amazon that look good. They have the one max which was $180 but you are better off with...
The F1 is particularly interesting for $220. Looks like a Oneplus 6t with a big battery, big 1080p screen, headphone jack and decent mid range processor 4gb ram. Dual sim. Even has verizon band 13 and cdma though whether it works on verizon is unknown. Only really flaw is that the cameras aren't that good per the reviews but will suffice. I would never have expected umidigi to have good cameras anyway.
Personally I think the s3 pro is getting too expensive for a budget manufacturer and you will notice some compromises in the $300-400 price range vs other phones. If you are willing to risk indiegogo and waiting months for the phone then the price is probably good right now at $269. No way I'd pay $385 for it.
Republic Wireless 2 mo of service for porting in...
"The promotion is compatible with Republic Wireless' $15 per month plan that includes unlimited talk and text with 1GB of data ($5) per month. The total value of the discount is $40."
This would be awesome for someone like me who lives in a Sprint deadspot (I assume the software would realize poor voice service and go VOIP to get me better service).
It seems that Tracfone is finally doing some promo work with Net10 after pretty much letting it languish for a number of years.
... and it seems it might be a good idea to keep an eye open for more America Movil short-term bargains, as they've been popping up every few days. (The 2fer on Tracfone phones, the Simple Mobile $13 special, and this one.)
Wow. 9 years at about $3.25 a month for unlimited t&t&data+hotspot! On GSM, to boot. Sounds a little too good be true. Impact's tos said something about being beta, and I guess the company is new, and it will therefore be hard to do research on them. Even if one got only one year of service with this new company, one would only be out about $30 a month paid for unlimited. Will be interesting to see who's running this company.
He is not the first person, nor will he be the last, to state that "data mining" will be the company's bread and butter. Seems MoviePass said something similar, and we know how that worked out. Peculiar how the CEO said he just recently studied data mining. It's too risky, imo. Paying for 9 years of service is disruptive, though, and crazy, too.
The incredibly good sale price above is no longer in effect-- now $39.99, which is still not bad.
One step older, but Amazon has the Net10 version of the Rebel 3 for $10, free shipping with Prime-- but it's listed as shipping within 1-3 months. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CQ9H5QH
(For those actually using one of the Tracfone-brand providers, a response in the Q&A section indicates this phone uses the Verizon network, and it can probably be activated on Tracfone, Total Wireless, or Straight Talk, as well as Net10.)
Anyone who signed up for this just note that many people are seeing their 3 months free changed to 2 months. Just check your account and you probably now have an April expiry. Still decent enough for a free trial.
Moto G6 is $99 on GoogleFi again. You have to activate on Fi but there is no minimum time you have to keep it on Fi so could cancel right away. Should be charged less than $1 for service. So basically $100+ tax for an unlocked moto G6.
The new Moto G7 is also $50 off - so $249. Looks like a good upgrade over the G6 but might be worth waiting for the price to drop.
