Once a year I wish they'd do a no exclusions coupon. Just ... Once ... A ... Year.......

Yeah, one must get lucky by having something one wants to purchase not being on the exclusion list. But I can see why HF does exclude items such as $500, $600, or more + or - items since 25% is a large discount on the more expensive items. These businesses need to get people in the store or online store somehow. I hate the tire ads where if you buy 3, the 4th one is free.

I'd be OK with a dollar limit of $500-$600 or a "savings" limit of $100-$150. Just no exclusions, once, come on HF you can do it, make some noise.

Well, then I guess this 35% discount off $700 is a steal.

Target is running their annual "10% off gift cards" sale today and tomorrow. Get more info here:

There are two differences as compared to past years:
--You can purchase up to $500 worth of cards this year, up from $300 before; and
--To get the deal this year, you must sign up to be a "Target Circle" member (signup is quick, easy, and free).

Also note that, if you are purchasing multiple gift cards, you must buy them all in a single transaction.

Happy shopping and saving!

Main problem with the target gift cards is you can't get the 5% redcard discount. So basically you save 5% not 10%. But yes any saving is welcomed thanks.

Net10 $99.99 360 day plan

unlimited talk
unlimited messaging
1GB high speed data per "month"
(30 days) & unlimited "2g" softcap
data after
choice of NMO - AT&T, T-
mo., *Verizon
via tracfonewireless eBay store.

This beats their last sale for this plan in October by $20.

Pick your poison Red Pocket or Trac but this betters RP in that the RP 1GB plan data is hard capped.

*As astutely observed by mmfacemm Verizon is NOT a choice at $99.99 but currently bumps the price up to $169.99.
Makes me wonder whats to come when Verizon absorbs Trac.

Somebody please help me find a hot deal for a friend who wants to get his parents each a new cellphone.

  1. Android
  2. Unlocked
  3. Under $300/each
  4. Works with Cricket/AT&T
  5. Most bang for the buck

Thank you!

Best Buy still has a good selection of unlocked Motorola phones, all of which should work on Cricket or AT&T. The Moto G Power is $180, and the Moto E (2020 version) is $100 (as of this post, anyway).

Happy shopping!

If you hadn't seen it already, few suggestions here.

I assisted a family member use the Amazon offer for a moto G power.

Take a look here if you haven't already

If they don't mind locked to cricket there are always great phone deals. Just sign up a new account and get free Lg stylo 6s. Pay $90 for the plan first month and thrn cancel so your friend will pay $45 a phone.

Or if they want even better phones 2 LG K92 5gs for $160 each and the same $90 plan. $410 in total for both. Or two samsung a51 5gs for $490 total.

Your friend will need two numbers to port in but they are easy enough to get eg $5 each off tello.

If they are on cricket anyway they will unlock after 6 months of use.

If you have an unlocked or AT&T compatible phone, RedPocket is offering their 50gb plan for $1 (plus tax) for the first month only, when you use coupon code RPSWITCHBACK15. After that, the plan goes to $50. I strongly suggest you buy with a virtual card with a pre-set spending limit of $2 so that you won't get accidentally get charged a lot of moolah after the first month discount is over.

This is good if you only need a lot of data for 1 month only. It's also a good option to create a new number in case you come across a good Black Friday deal that requires a number port-in.

@bingyee - curious re your experience porting out of Red Pocket.
I have only done it once and I suspect I do WAY less porting in general than you but my experience was that they didn't want to release the # and kept trying to throw up roadblocks.
For a "pro" like you maybe not a big deal.

I don't do FP/RP for my main number(s) anymore mainly because I've encountered problems porting in. I haven't had problems porting out, but I do recall that it's just painfully slow to have to stay on a chat with customer service to pry the info out of them. They usually ask to confirm your SIM's ICCID. It helps to have a multiple monitor set-up so can more easily multi-task. FP/RP also take their sweet time releasing the number. If you just use them to leverage other deals, as opposed to using it to house your main carrier, it's fine.

By far the best set-up is Xfinity Mobile's. Their system is automated but pretty secure. Your account number appears on the 'devices' page, and you are able to click a link at the bottom of that page for transferring numbers to request that a PIN be sent to one of your active lines, which is good for 5 days.

$10 off $10+ at Panda Express. Pay with your Paypal app QR code. They've been using this in China with WeChat for many years.

Argh. This RedPocket plan doesn't come with hotspot for iPhones. That probably also means that it's disabled for AT&T stock Androids. I need to see what happens when I use the SIM with my Galaxy S7s (one issued by T-Mobile the other by Verizon) and my ZTE A3 Prime.

Nevermind. It was a glitch in RP's system. After a chat, I got hotspot to work
