Company introduced this service about a month ago. Usable mobile data works only when using their Kite browser which supposedly is supported by ads. While I have my doubts that this business model is sustainable, getting free data only when using their limited function browser is nothing I would complain about.
I downloaded the Kite app /browser and then installed the eSIM with no problems at all. Once connected I did two speed checks. Both came in around 300 Mbps on the AT&T 5g network ( but taken in the wee small hours of the AM)
I browsed the web for a while and everything worked fine and moved quickly.... And to my pleasant surprise I found that the Google Voice app worked independently of the Kite app .
One thing to take note of is that the Kite app/browser is bare bones. There Is no way to create bookmarks or access history or customize in any way.
Each time you open the app you're starting from scratch. However it appears any logons you entered for web sites are kept in the main app storage or cache . So once you get to one of those sites via search you'll find yourself already signed in.
BTW- not a lot of ads and what ads there were, weren’t intrusive.
