Flying like it's 1999

Some airline IT people forgot to update their planes GPS timing systems, which caused "unpatched GPS systems to suddenly act like they had jumped nearly 20 years back in time. But the long-anticipated reset of the calendar count did apparently lead to cancellations of some airline flights overseas, as technicians failed to catch warnings and update firmware."

Speaking of glitches, the article states that the "Date bug on unpatched Honeywell gear likely cause of 777,787 flight cancellations." There must have been quite a few flights scheduled that day.
