iPhone has a great feature to only allow numbers you have called/answered/on your phonebook to ring through. All other calls goes straight to the voicemail. Does Android have such a feature nowadays?
Yes. Probably had it before iPhone. I remember it on my Galaxy Note 3.
My family and I have had all our phone lines on Visible for the last 7 months (except our Freedompop emergency glove box phones)
And now that I think about it, I don't believe any of us have gotten even one spam phone call in the last 7 months.

He's referring to a feature of the phone itself not the carrier.
There are a dozen or so good ones in the app store. Just check for 'call blocking" I've used several for the last 10 years with excellent results. I use "Knowncalls" right now and it works great.
