AT&T MVNO Whoop Mobile?

Anyone know much about them?

Seems they are on AT&T towers.

They have a $5/mo. plan (does not inc. taxes/fees) that is unlimited talk & text and 256 MB data when paid monthly, that increases to 768 MB monthly if you pay for 12 months up front.

They also give more "loyalty points" for annual vs. monthly payment but I didn't try to see the details of that program to see if it is something that is useful.

Another entry in the low price plan market, too bad it's not $5 inc. taxes & fees. I don't think $5 all in ever existed on AT&T?

The same folks as were behind Whoop Connect (an ACP provider). I briefly kicked the :wheel:s on them. The service was OK but nothing that made me want to stay but then AT&T's network is the also ran where I'm at.

I can't speak to the quality of support as none was required in the short period of time I tried them. They are persistent. They called so often after I let service lapse I ended up blocking their number. I had given them my Google Voice number when signing up.

Krappy site with no option to get the $5/month plan for a year.
VS:
Really good services via US Mobile.

Thus I see zero attraction to this MVNO.

Not seeing a problem loading up the $5 plan for 12 months?

Fascinating RedRotors !!
Thanks for sharing your results.
Makes me wonder at which point you got the year option to show.

I remain curious as to how well that service works out over time.

Since I'm already paying the same for perfectly good services I've no plan to switch.

Here's what I discovered as to what the total cost would be for my Aunt who lives in Chicago:

Looks like a good deal to me.

.....Some second thoughts, you may wish to call their toll free number before proceeding (as I did)

EDIT: SUPER APOLOGY!

I had dialed the wrong number for Whoop Mobile which prompted my post about second thoughts.

I just dialed the right number and they answered quickly and answered all my questions professionally,

I am positively impressed with them at this point.

If you scroll down far enough on their home page (this is on mobile phone screen), just before FAQ section you should see this "pick your price" slider and # of months buttons below it.

Yes, that USM $5 plan was a great value offer from a MVNO widely viewed as a solid provider.
I wish it was still available and hope they continue to grandfather you "forever" or until you decide to leave.

Care to elaborate on what you experienced when you called?

Thanks for sharing your experience. May be limited but any data point helps.

I would recommend folks call the number themselves to form an opinion.

It's free and takes little time.

EDIT: see below correction to my mistake.
