Just got an e-mail from Helium stating they will be adding taxes and fees to the free account and that the data will be split between their carrier (?T-Mobil?) and the "Helium Network" Guess we'll see how it all shakes out.
And the data is not an even 50/50 split. It is 1gb "real" data, 2gb on helium hotspots.

Yeah I will be honest. If we can not have all 3GB on the sim card alone, I may just cancel this. I only did it because it was free.
I'm simply going to let my Helium Zero plan expire by not making any payments.
Nice while it lasted
Yeah, I honestly don't mind picking up the taxes and fees, but the data thing kinda sucks. I probably keep the plan for a while, I honestly just use it as a backup, but hate to see it degrade this way.
I have no idea how this happened... but I wasnt able to use data after me not putting in a payment method so I went to cancel. However after I have formally requested to delete my account and cancel the free plan, the data started working again (im guessing till the end of my current billing cycle). I presume its a glitch, but I consider this an absolute win.
Does the split data mean that after the 1 GB, there'll be no data unless you're near a Helium Hotspot?
Yes
That's how I understand it.
