Geography is not one of our strengths in the US, as comedians have gladly pointed out. And thinking New Mexico is a foreign country will definitely be good for a laugh. Good thing Mr.Clarkson didn't mention he was a member of the Choctaw Nation, which likely would have resulted in more confusion and a request for a passport from that foreign country.:dry:

It certainly does come round. More than a few people have been thrown for a loop with the "District of Columbia" appellation. If the "District" part isn't baffling enough, the "Columbia" part surely is.
