I just received and activated my new TN sim. Just for giggles, I tried the old (TMo) TN sim in another phone and it still worked. I can make calls from both of them! When I call the TN number from another phone, both phones ring. Not sure how long this will last. I'm only going to use the new sim, however.

Probably wouldn't have thought to try that one!
Would be curious to hear back in a few weeks (months?) re how things go.
Noted that the 'cost' for a week of ad free+ via using 'my rewards points' went from 14,000 to 2,250 a few weeks ago.
That is doable for the person using it as primary line.
Hoping the reduction is long term.
For those not familiar, my rewards offers points for watching ads. Don't know if it is the same for everyone but what they tell me is 20 points per ad, ads run 15 - 45 seconds, multiple ads can be watched in a row, sometimes getting an error like 'no ads available currently'
The old sim no longer works. Was still active for about a week.

Datapoint: TextNow APP + NEW Black SIM works on Android 12 without issue
Data point:
Old SIM works on iPhone 6s on iOS 15.8.5
NEW Black SIM works on Moto E6 on Android 9 (required steps in their advanced setup web page)
Based on my experience, old sim will stop working in about 1 week.
I still haven't been offered, nor have I requested a new SIM. I'm one of the ones that got offered the unrestricted 250GB/mo, back when TextNow was experimenting, before they settled on Essential Data. My unrestricted 250GB/mo SIM is still working, so I'm leaving it alone unless/until it stops.
Physical SIM is so last decade. Give us eSIM capability and save the $4.99.

- Old SIM working fine on iPhone 6S on 15.8.5
