So I saw a pop-up notification on my old Sprint S6 that said something along these lines -- "Your device is UICC unlocked. Contact the carrier to request a carrier unlock".
I know the phone is UICC unlocked, but I'm not sure what the "carrier unlock" part means. Can the S6 be used on other carriers? (Aah, I'm starting to see a little bit of light as I post this - something about CDMA phones having GSM radios so they can be used on AT&T and TMobile comes to mind). Hmm, in that case, who do I contact at Sprint to 'request a carrier unlock'?
Would love to hear from anyone who has embarked on such a quest. Thanks!
