I entered my phone and number info, go on the create account screen, entered my info, clicked the yellow continue button, nothing... Continue button grayed out. I am 47 days (past the 45 days required) out since closing my year free plan.
Re-entered my SSN, clicked continue again, again it says they re running the check but then nothing... looks like we cannot sign up online if we have an existing acct with Sprint. Is that correct?

Yes that is fine. Have you tried signing up using a new email rather than trying to reopen your old account? Since 45 days have past you should be considered a "new" customer and can use your own ssn. Perhaps they count the 45 from a different date like the date of the final bill? I don't know.
Yes, first attempt was to sign up without logging on, stuck at SSN.
Then I tried logging on and activating a new line, thus the error message.
I used the same email but had to call.
New account, new credit check, but no problems getting approved and set up.

I re-upped before I knew about the Befrugal deal.
I used the BeFrugal link, tried to sign up, errors on my SSN credit check.
Noticed a bubble that said to talk to a credit specialist.
Connected to credit specialist who reviewed my info to confirm nothing owed. She cleared my SSN from the old account, approved my credit check, and I was able to order the new SIM with free overnight shipping. But since it's past Fri 2PM ET, I guess I'll get the SIM Tues.
... so I should get the $25 bonus
