Ambiano Convection Countertop Oven @ $36.99.

This really is an exceptionally good convection oven for the money.
We bought one from Aldi's 2 years ago (as a “weekly find”) and use it constantly.
Going to buy another one as back-up.

$86 for an Asus Chromebit. Connect it to a monitor or tv and a mouse and keyboard and you have a Chrome OS pc.

Great device. Doesn't support Google Play Store but still an awesome device.

Wow! This is really cool! I was unaware such a thing existed.
Thanks, I'm ordering one right now.

:frowning: I had a similar device. It was outstanding! If you are using it in a hotel room and you are susceptible to CRS like me you need to figure out some way to remind yourself to disconnect it from the room tv and take it with you......

The Chromebit works well with PdaNet+. You don't even have to install an app or browser extension on the Chromebit to connect through your cellphone's PdaNet+ app. Just add a ":8000" to the gateway address and it will connect to the WiFi Direct hotspot on your phone.

This gives you unlimited hotspot because PdaNet+ WiFi Direct hotspot looks like on-device data to your cellular provider and won't count as hotspot usage.

That means you can stream all you want and it'll look like you're watching it on your phone.

Well, on the bright side, someone is probably enjoying it very much, so you made someone happy.

I know I already said it once on this thread, but:
Wow!. That is really cool!
Thanks Chelle.

@ Isamorph Thanks for the lead in to one of my favorites, "Always look on the bright side Monty Python

I'm bad about this.

I run the power cord through my keyring so I can't start the car unless I've remembered to grab my streaming device.

Isamorph's recent post has introduced me to the concept of "Stick PC's".
It has prompted me to do further research.
I now have found a Linux PC stick for $35

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-BOXSTCK1A8LFC-STCK1A8LFC-Compute-Stick-DDR3L-1333-New-Retail-Box-/202321640305

That one is only 1GB/8GB. I'd get something with a little more under the hood.

I agree with Chelle, a stick with 2GB or 4GB would be much better, which you can probably get for maybe $80 or so. You might be interested to know that one can install a complete Linux OS on a usb drive and run it on a laptop or pc with complete persistence. In other words, you can take a cheap old laptop and run a Linux system on it for free, and one of these, the "Raspian Pixel OS", was made for this very purpose, although it should be noted that you can't plug it into a monitor or tv and use like the mini pc sticks.

Thanks Chelle an Isamorph!
This is a a brave new world for me.

Private message me when your Chromebit arrives. There are some tips and tricks that I'd rather not put in a public post. There are ways to get around geolocked legal streaming sites that you might enjoy having access to (without using a VPN). Chromebooks and Chromebits are great one-stop solutions to streaming pretty much everything that's out there.

If I post them publicly I'm afraid that the holes might get plugged up so I'd rather not take that chance.

Here are a few Links for a Linux compute stick, which are few and far between nowadays. I believe these came out around 2015, so they're somewhat outdated.

This Speedtalk Mobile one year deal of $160 ($13.33 monthly) for a year for unlimited T&T+ 2GB data on T-Mobile networks looks good, which is a tad ( $20 year ) cheaper than Mint Sim, unless one can get the ebates deal on Mint.

The annual Speedtalk Mobile is an amazing deal...way cheaper than Redpocket monthly plans. Unlimited Talk & text are big plus. Pain to run out of minutes on these annual plans and have to buy additional. If buy on eBay, use Ebates and get an additional 2% cash back.
