Does your state have an insurance regulator you can contact?
yes . and i contacted them and the BBB. unfortunately they more or less told me the insurance company is well within their rights to deny claim and payout. as much as this would make others pissed, to me its just frustrating and time consuming. and the way i see it is state farm didnt want my money anymore. so i did what some others can only talk about and that is i made my displeasure known by taking my money elsewhere along with any recommendations they might have gotten from me. i think chelles advice is spot on and may do that in the future . my current ins company has so far been lower than any others in my area that i quoted so i stay with them.
