I'm unsure that the kernel of wisdom about prescribing against "throwing the baby out with the bathwater" applies in this case, but having a healthy crying baby should overcome and rid him of whatever angst he feels about the error he made. Perhaps he would have made the same decision had he gotten up at 4 am to pee or get a glass of water. My wife is often the cause of my bad decisions, but I've never held it against her.:unsure: I think the father/trader in this incident now realizes that what he said didn't really express what he intended.
