I don't know if this is good or bad news. Somehow the Equifax hackers "accessed" passport numbers, but there were no passport numbers there when they got there. I also don't know why and for what purpose Equifax had my passport number, not to mention where they got it from. Maybe there is a good reason the government seems hesitant to keep the investigation into Equifax going forward.
