It is not like anyone here could change someone else's mind when it come to politics. Since this is a tech forum. Not a political debate forum.
There are a million places to go to try to convince/persuade/attack people of different political views.
This has gone on since the formation of this country.
A piece of history. An article attacking George Washington was written and printed as our first president decided to just serve two terms and he could of been president for life. Thus setting the precedent that is still used today.
Article basically saying Good riddance and don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Thank you for your post, especially the story about George Washington (hadn't heard that one before)! Thank you, too, for the reminder that Nth was meant to be a tech forum, not a political one.
Man is a political animal; consequently politics are intertwined with everything in his daily life. To try and segregate politics from other daily discussions is counter to man's nature and superficially exclusive----rather it be mandated or voluntary. What is important is that we all remain civil and respectful in the discussion.
Thank you for your further thoughts! Sadly, I must agree that it's nearly impossible to keep politics separate, and like you, I also believe that civility and respect are most important, especially when interacting with others who have different viewpoints.
