Sprint One Year Free BYOD Plan---I just saw this on SD and, even though this plan has been discussed before on this thread, I thought this particular SD post contained a ton of useful and up to date info.

It asnswers every question I have except.
Is it possible to sign up without having a post paid line to port in
"Credit approval req. Req. AutoPay, eBill, and port-in from postpaid carrier"
Edit: emphasis mine.
That's a good question als. From what I have read, you can port in a line from just about all MVNOs even though they are prepaid, I signed on to the plan by porting in a Verizon # from a Tracfone account. If you are on any Sprint MVNO or account, I believe you need to deactivate the account first and get another number from Verizon, AT&T, or Timo to port in. Here are a few quotes from the info post. Some where in the info it is said that just about any port in from a prepaid MNVO will work. You could also call to make sure this is still the case. Good luck.
"Note 6: This offer will work with any number coming from AT&T, T-mobile, Verizon and all other non-Sprint networks including bandwidth.com,Google Voice, Freedompop and others. You must supply your carrier's account number and pin. Any eligible phone will work. It does not have to be tied to your ported number."
"Must be a Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile customer bringing new lines to Sprint. You must own the phone(s) you're bringing to Sprint. All MVNO's of the aforementioned networks are also eligible."
My chat with Sprint rep:
You: hi, I have a question about the free 1 yr offer
You: I am currently with AT&T MVNO provider (H20 Wireless)...would I be eligible for the offer?
